If so, the STRONG-CT – Science and Technology Reaching Out to New Generations in Connecticut may be the program that supports you as you pursue your academic goals.

Whether you begin at MCC, TRCC, QVCC, or UConn, the STRONG-CT Student will benefit from the following activities:
  • Rigorous individual and group academic support for the core science and math courses
  • Mentoring relationships with senior students and others who understand your challenges
  • Research opportunities to enhance your understanding of science
  • Leadership workshops to help push your limits in higher education and science
  • Outreach projects to bring what you have learned back into your communities
  • Career counseling to become fully aware of the possibilities after graduation

Some of the Benefits of a STRONG-CT Student include:
  • Being part of a community of learners studying in a similar program
  • Receive personal guidance through academic advising and exposure to various career path
  • Receive a $300.00 book stipend at the end of each semester
  • Network with faculty and professionals currently in the field of science
